Dr. Hans-Josef Ritzert appointed as Regional President Greater China of Evonik Industries
Dr. Hans-Josef Ritzert has been appointed as Regional President Greater China of Evonik Industries effective September 1, 2011. He succeeds Dr. Dahai Yu, who has moved to the Executive Board of Evonik Industries AG in April, 2011, with responsibility for the “Specialty Materials” segment and company’s business development in Asia.

Dr. Hans-Josef Ritzert joined the former Degussa AG in 1990 as a polymer chemist. After holding various technical and commercial positions in the field of methacrylate chemistry, he was chosen to manage the Binders & Additives Business Line of Röhm GmbH in Darmstadt in 1999. Dr. Ritzert was head of the Catalysts Business Line from 2005 to 2009. Since 2009, he has been responsible for the Exclusive Synthesis & Amino Acids Business Line in the Health & Nutrition Business Unit.
