Evonik Opens its First Feed Additive Analytical Lab in China
On May 13th, the Evonik’s feed additives business announces the inauguration of its analytical lab for amino acid analysis in Bejing, China.
To strengthen or to support the increasing analytical demand of our customers in the region we have invested into the latest technology for amino acid analysis and a skilled team at our new lab in Beijing. "The newly established lab will ensure best quality service and shorter turnaround time for our customers" Julio Vrbanic, Regional Business Director Asia North, said. In combination with our highly qualified sales team we can ensure that our customers are able to turn the analytical power into profitable business. We are therefore very proud that we can offer this improved service to our customers here in the region.
A correct evaluation of value of raw materials needs precise information on nutrient content, i.e. the value is not only depending on price but also nutrient content and variation is important to consider. Besides energy protein is the most important nutrient and therefore very important in evaluation of the raw materials. When protein is evaluated it is not enough just to measure crude protein but rather the content of digestible essential amino acids likes lysine, methionine, threonine and tryptophan should be considered.
AminoLab® is the most reliable analytical service for amino acid analysis in raw materials and compound feeds from the largest amino acid laboratory in the world. AminoLab® analytics is a powerful tool for raw material evaluation and selection and thus helps purchasers to make the right decisions. Supporting accurate least cost feed formulation and quality control in feed and livestock productions are on the list of advantages for nutritionists, quality controllers and livestock production managers using AminoLab® results. The amino acid variability in key ingredients can be reduced and thus the targets for amino acid contents in complete feeds need lower safety margins.
AminoNIR® Near-Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS) has been used for feedstuff analysis for many years. Evonik’s AminoNIR® has developed specific calibrations for the prediction of crude protein and essential amino acids for all major feed ingredients. The sample basis comprises a large and diverse set of samples of global origin. The advantages of AminoNIR® are easy sample preparation, speed and low operating costs. AminoNIR® is simple to operate and no chemicals have to be used for the procedure. AminoNIR® offers the opportunity to do extensive raw material screening programs at moderate cost.
