Evonik teams up with Borussia Dortmund (BVB) Football Club and the Amity Foundation on the "Youth Football Dream" charity project. Themed "Leading beyond football", the event was successfully kicked off in Xintang County, Enshi, Hubei province on November 6.

On the day of the event, two coaches from the BVB youth team organized a professional yet interesting football training session for more than 40 students from four rural primary and secondary schools in Enshi. The students learned basic football skills and enjoyed the sport through technique practices, interactive games and team competitions. The BVB coach team also shared their advanced training methods with local teachers. Furthermore, the event featured donations of football training supplies to the schools in an effort to help them organize regular football lessons.

As the global main sponsor of BVB, Evonik's long-term support to the team is built on the mutual beliefs and shared values. Passion, diversity and inclusion, teamwork, dedication and responsibility are not only the foundation of the team, but also the driving force of Evonik's corporate development. To this end, the partnership is committed to creating greater social value that goes beyond football and chemistry. For example, since 2011, Evonik has been working with BVB to provide professional training courses for children and teenagers worldwide through the "BVB Evonik Football Academy", so as to foster their interest in football and promote youth football training.

"Social commitment has a firm place in Evonik’s corporate culture and our understanding of values. We accept responsibility and regard it as our contribution to the sustainable development of society." said Xia Fuliang, president of Evonik Greater China, "Together with BVB and the Amity Foundation, we want children to get interested in football games. More importantly, we aim to emphasize the dedication, fairness, respect and team spirit embodied in the sport, thereby supporting the growth of the young generation."
