The multi-user-site-China
To facilitate the establishment of new business activities in the Greater China region, Evonik embarked on the construction of a multi-user site in Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (SCIP) in 2004.
The site now houses the production plants of methyl methacrylate, isophorone & isophorone diamine, specialty organics, silicone surfactants and other Evonik advanced products. All business segments of Evonik in China can benefit from the leading technology, equipment and joint infrastructure facilities on site.
Till the end of 2019, there are around 700 people working at the MUSC site with an area of over 330,000 square meters. The accumulated investment reached over €700 million.
